On a related note, we had a Vigor and a 4G Accord in at the same time on friday, so I took the oppurtunity to measure the rear suspension on both, and I found that we should also be able to use Vigor rear suspension, as a replacement. Everything measured the same.

Awesome, awesome. This is definitely on my list of things to do. I hate having drums in the back. Also, after seeing all the pictures and having the guy explain what it took to do it, it seems to me it is pretty simple. I can't wait to get the conversion done to my car.

ditto man, can't wait either but...i have to say it's not on high priority just yet for mods....after I get the engine built up and bolted in and running....then it'll come into play with the suspension upgrades

I'm with you on that one. The rear disc conversion, for me, is waaay down the road.

Here is some more info I found out.

            HondaFan81:

what model, year & trim did you get ur rear-end disc conv. parts from for your swap?

            timmyOtool:

the parts i used were from a 93 honda accord EX 4-door. the 2-door suspension is the same. my car is a 2-door and the 4-door suspension bolted right up. all 92-93 accord EX have rear disc brakes. you can also use accord 94-97 accord EX rear discs if you can't find any from a 92-93. also note that some 94-97 LX accords came with rear discs.

As soon as I get my vtec problem fixed on my H22 (new soleniod should be here tuesday), then I'll be at the junkyard getting what I need for this conversion. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the month.

Sup guys... I found a place offering the rear disk brake with trailing arms, disks and calipers. But its for a 92 Accord SE. Should there be any difference between the SE and EX models that I should know about? Thanx

Does anyone know if a master cylinder out of a '00 SI would work for this conversion??

It might, but I wouldn't try it. You're just asking for trouble.

No, there isn't... The SE is a good donor. However, it will either be '91 or '93, as they didn't make the SE in '92.

Thanx guys! Actually i found a post on Recycler.com of some guy that was selling the complete rear disk brake conversion with disks, cailpers, trailing arm, e brake cable and brake hoses as well for $150. Called them up and picked it up for only $130!!! Whole rear disk conversion. It was from a 92 accord EX. It had the stock sway and all the components for the rear suspension. So glad i found it for so cheap! Im planning to install in this weekend with a couple buddies from H-T and UCI for tech day. Any advice for me guys? Thanx

Oh yea and another thing to add... The whole rear brake conversion was in very good condition! Had all e brake cables and soft brake lines intact. The brake lines were cut right after the soft lines ended at the hard lines.
