ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    OMG my speakers WONT FIT!!!

Heres my predicament ive recently purchased 2 sets of 6.5 speakers to put into my car (1990 Honda Accord LX) . I removed all the door panels and everything, excited to make the switch when to my disbeleif i found out that the mounting depth is too deep for my fronts!! The two sets of speakers i have are the CDT cl-63 (http://www.cdtaudio.com/drivers_overview.htm) and the Rockford fosgate T162C (http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/produ...n_US&p_status=)

I was wondering if there is any way i could put these in (whichever one is easier to put in the front) like speakers brackets or kick panels.

Please help....there are no speakers in my car and it pains me!!!

When you take out the CDT's look at the speaker pod, the black bucket that the speaker scews onto.

Next take out the pod and cut the rear of the pod out. that way the speaker will fit with no problems.

Also i doubt it will actually fit into the pod......the diameter seems a little too big for it

I've got the same Fosgate speaker's you've got in my front doors and the space is TIGHT. I had to completely get rid of the plastic pods and then I used some MDF to make a mounting ring to get the speaker to sit far enough up to let the window clear. If you take this route I would suggest a pair of speaker baffles so they don't get wet. As for clearance, when I roll my windows down, they rub the back of the baffles, but it hasn't hurt anything.....yet

dealer, junkyard, or go on the for sale section and look for part outs. You could PM sellers and ask them whats up.

                    ...adjust accordingly

if the mount is to deep, you could always put something behind it. thats what my friend did to his 90 accord lx
