I don't think that's the turbo.
Take off the turbo from the turbo mani and run your engine like that for a while.
The mani alone is gona fucking loud, but at least you'll know if its your turbo or not.
Don't run too long without the turbo on there, you can potentially fuck up your exhaust valves.

Never heard an engine sound like that, nor a turbo.
Like i said, simply take off the turbo and see if that solves anything.
