hello I need some help yet again...
a while back I posted a question about the fuel injectors. well I solved that problem. but now I got another one. a worser one.
after taking the whole intake manifold off & cleaning it I installed it back on with new ghaskets. but when I went to turn it on I noticed that the "check engine" light comes on now. also when its in "P" or "N" it idles like it did but as soon as I put it into "R" or "D" it starts to idle very low & it kind sounds like its struggling to stay on, then it just dies.
when its in P or N it idles at around 1000rpms. but as soon as I put it into D or R that number just starts to drop slowly to 0. & even taping the gas cant keep it from dieing when its on D/R
heres the only thing I can think of might be it...
1.while I was working on the manifold I broke the little black filter cap on the vacuum tank thats just below the intake manifold
link to diagram (cap #22/vacuum tank #25)
2.sence I had the fuel rail off for so long, I had left the gas cap slightly open to vent. is it possible for moisture in the gas tank to be causing this
