ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Just recently in the shop I work we replace the auto seat belt for an 88 civic the cust had to wait about 2 weeks before we got the part from HONDA warehouse but it got fix.

Deev's suggestion is also a good idea check that site.
thats what im talking about. honda should not have lifetime warranty if a car is 20 yrs old and cant even get a seat belt fixed. i think the SM is not trying hard enough or doesn't care. i am going to get in contact with another honda dealer after i get my car back from a head gasket job.

can anyone tell me how to get in contact with Main (corporate) Honda ? just in case another dealership BS with me again?

my drivers side type C auto seat beat is fraying apart . nothing else is wrong with it. it can go up and down fine

i went to a local dealership and talked to the service manager. he told me that honda dont make it no more. and that other dealerships dont have it. the whole US dont have it.

so now i have a fraying seatbelt i want to change out. my question is what do i have to replace? the whole auto seat belt with the box?

can some one tell me the name of the part i need?
Well I just called the parts dept to 1 of the 4 Honda dealers that the company I work for owns. And they had no problem locating a seat belt for me. I didn't tell them I was an employee. So that service manager might be full of it, or maybe just that my particular 1 may still be available. He found it using my vin.

Is yours manual or auto? The auto belts stopped in 1991. It's possible that the manual belts are still in production, and are used for later models as well.

the SM told me that entering the vin in his computer wont work cause cars older than 1996 wont work. he had to ask me what color was the belt.

                  i will try another dealer.

Just from that statement alone I know he's lying. My parts guy was able to tell what color the belt was just from the vin.

bringing back a old form but I didn't want to start a new one

My belts work alright they don't snap right back but with some help work into the retractor.

My question is I just installed tint on my front two windows and noticed that the rubber around the auto belts guide track is ripping off slowly is that replaceable to keep the grease where it should be or should i go to the junk yard and replace the guide, does it come out just in the section i need or do i have to pull the entire unit. The belt part works fine opening and closing just don't want problems down the road.

Please start new threads rather than resurrecting old ones. The majority of the replies now are going to be to the original post, because people do not look at when a thread was posted.
