Could have swore I posted this a couple of days ago but either it got deleted or I forgot to hit submit...probably the latter lol.
Anyway first the new addition to our car family than makes mine look like crap in the driveway and slow on the road
then got bored with my look so slapped on one of the 20 pairs of clear corners I have
Then today figured they needed to be blackhoused. This was not easy and took all day, and three sets of corners. These aftermarket ones WILL NOT come apart in the oven....the plastic melts while the glue they use stays hard as a rock....after many different temps and times I grabbed my dremel and cut them open, did my thing then sealed em up with silicone, then wrapped the edges in black electrical tape because I just like the look lol. Kept the clear reflector.
Nice ride man
Never seen this car out and about the streets of ATL before. You need to come out the dungeon and chill with the crew sometime. We always find each other one way or another
Lol my last job had me literally all over atl and ga driving like 300 miles a day haha. But yeah I don't usually make it to the meets because of family and work... I live on the west side and work south side. I'm usually on 20 and 75 travelling to work in morrow. Lol. Once my new job gets into a nice groove I'll be trying to go to the hangouts. I'll be at nopi hopefully with the rest of the atl crew lol.
Yeah, I'm VERY happy with the results. I'm glad to have a reflector in them now too. The ambers are sitting in my trunk, I put the tinted ones on the sedan(which also looks great).
Thanks guys. As far as the suspension who knows lol. Something def needs to be done. I have some coilover sleeves that have been sitting for awhile now I might put on, since I'm eventually planning on a full shock/spring set up anyway. I just started a new job, which equals killer money for these things now, but less time with all the overtime lol.
So last night on the way home my rear tire decided to slit the inside seam so I had to put a steelie on to replace. I thought I was bummed. This morning on the way to work however, A huge Toyota Tundra decides to ram into me at a stop light, pushing me onto a Ford Pinto of all things. Luckily, the car was still drivable. The guy was cool, told the officer it was his fault he was on the cell phone. Hes the owner of a big restoration company in town and said to call him if insurance gives me issues. Interestingly, my Wife's cb was broken down due to a bad ignition coil, me not having time with my new job @ 50 hours a week to fix. So now I have a personal day, a broken cb awaiting insurance people, and I pulled my coil off mine to transplant in the wife's for me to drive. enough with the story, heres some pics.
ouch.
trunk wont close. also the trunk tub is bent.
and since our cars have a single panel from the taillights all the way to the a pillar....this will be fun
and where the pinto had old skool bumper guards..lol
So hopefully the insurance will let it get fixed and I can get a paintjob out of the deal...and they dont just want to write it off....here's hoping. I'd hate to see it go.
whelp, got a replacement car. The insurance finally came, and the guy was real cool. First thing he said was "you wanna keep the car?" So I was like "yes, lol". So he put in all the damage in his computer and gave me all that it would let him, then I signed a form saying they werent liable for any more $$ as to the damage, then he gave me a check and they didnt total it. SOOOOOO, I still have the cb coupe and bought me this while I fix it.
1992 Prelude Si, near mint...H23, 5 spd.... slotted rotors...etc. gonna post engine pics after I clean it up and install a new valve cover gasket.
You can see the CL and the coupe with its poor wrinkled rear quarter and missing bumper in the background, lol
$1600 with new calipers, rotors, belts....etc...last 10 years of receipts and regular maintenance records. Now to get to work on this one, lol. I'll be selling a few things off of the cb coupe, Ill be posting a for sale thread shortly. If you happen to see anything that I have in this thread you want, shoot me a pm. What I dont sell (that I like) I'll probably be transplanting onto the sedan (BTW, the headlights and custom corners arent going for sale, lol)
It's everything the cb coupe should have been, lol. Well, now I have this and the CB can be restored. I'm happy
