I see they are creating better and better stabilization for asimo, thus needing less and less rear ballast to keep it from falling over

They have the whole family. One of my professor met, sat, and had a conversation with them. He even asked Asimo to give his business card to a sexy secretary.

it amazing how when the bot walks and ppl are coming towards him, he will move out the way and finds another direction.

I have to check the pricetag for 1 of these bad boi bots.

You can rent them for about $30,000/month (per my professor). My professor informed us about how he became acquainted with Asimo, his involvement, and leasing them. He gave us a detailed run down. People lease them for their older mothers/fathers that need help to do this and that.

Asimo is awesome. You can see him in person at Disneyland. He puts on a whole act and moves really fast for a robot. He also goes up and down stairs. The act is awesome.

huge improvement from the last model. way more stable and the movements are so fluid now.

it would be a good bomb disposal bot but we already have drones for that.

down the line maybe the army will build a bigger bot for war purposes.

it would be cool if they can make him run way faster then a human then i can see war use from it. just runs through enemy lines super fast and kills everything from behind. but thats more superhero then anything lol

imagine 10,000 of these being dropped off on the front lines with 50 caliber machine guns or some sort of pulsed ion weapons.. theyre almost there, their agility needs some improvement, and EMP protection. I could see them being used as riot control now, grabbing people and dragging them to the detention centers lol
