This is a daily driver I resurrected for my daughter(s) to drive in HS/College. I did quite a bit of work to it, then somebody who shall remain nameless (daughter #1) drove it with an overheating engine and warped the deck. So, I put a salvage motor in it last year (with lots of new bits).

To make it look decent, I replaced the dented hood with a $50 salvage unit, slapped a $500 Maaco paint job on it, and called it done...for now.

Future plans include a decent exhaust, subwoofer, window tint, fog lights, rear disks, dash clock cold-solder fix, maybe lower it a tiny bit in the front only. Maybe go with 15 x 7 with 60's...I dunno. But I'll post up any changes I make.

Certainly looks like it's come a long way! These cars work great for economical, reliable transportation when maintained well. If not, they behind to show their age quickly.

Another great thing about them when they're just used for transportation is that you basically get back for them what you paid for them when you decide it's time to upgrade.

Keep us posted if you decide to go any further with it!
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!
