ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Try loosening the front bolt by the crossmember. It's extremely hard to get the holes to line up unless you loosen the front bolt as well. I just did mine a couple months ago so I know how hard it is if you don't loosen it.

Sorry, I should have said the front nut, not bolt. It's the 17 or 19mm one at the front of the crossmember, threads onto the radius rod shaft at the front.

no dont do that. loosen the crossmember bolts. their 17mm and right next to eachother. their like 8" long lol. Then put the radius bolts on. those two bolts and a pain i know how you feel. but loosen the other 2 to get to those 2.

Just curious as to why you'd prefer this method over loosening the nut. Every one has different methods so I'm not disagreeing, just wondering why.

I loosen the nut because it give me more slack to line up the holes on the arm side than moving the crossmember around. Also, when you tighten the nut back up to specs, I find the caster remains the same.

if you loosen the radius rod you have a greater potential to mess up your alignment...

The crossmember holes are actually a bit bigger than the bolts. If you don't put it back exactly where it was before, there is also a chance the caster (hence part of the alignment) will be thrown off.

With the radius rod nut, there is a metal sleeve inside the bushings which will not allow it to compress after a certain point. As long as the nut is tightend back down to specs, the caster will be exactly where it was before you loosened it.
