It's all a plan by the government to make import tuners have to drive slow and carefully.

Not starting a debate, but in my state tire tread sticking past the fender is illegal, as it was in Belgium where tire stretching started, they stretched a tire on to get the tread back within the fender.

Or you could just run a wheel that doesn't poke out past the fender...

I'm a fan of a stretched tire, but not to this magnitude. I like when tires are fully seated, but they have a slight inward slant of the tire from the lip/edge of the rim (no more than 3/4" or so). Basically no more less than an inch of the recommended tire width for a specified rim.

I laughed when I saw this. This dude cant be serious! No way you could actually drive around the block and have that tire stay on the rim!

Am I the only one that likes to see meaty tires. I plan on getting a wider set of wheels on my STi but I want some meat on them.

Who cares about cool when you have good piece of mind while doing 70 on the highway not having to worry about a tire explosion. I think you're very smart.

I consider that cooler than this super shady tire stretching fad.

The next time you see a car out with overstretched tires you should challenge them to a closed course slalom and see what they say

I don't think they would feel too safe taking corners at 60+

what one of my friends posted on FB today they are having a hard time to get the tire to seat and I wonder why. 15x10 175/50 the one on the right is fully seated and the other is giving them trouble yea fuck that.
