ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Work in...progress?

Not much to brag about, aside from maintaining it as a daily driver for about 2.5 years and 25k miles now. Has only left me stranded twice, and those were both issues I knew about and should have addressed sooner.

This site and it's members have been a great resource for me, time to "show her off" I guess, for lack of a better term...

Looks pretty good, from what I can see. Glad you're finally able to post!

Does it have any rust on it? Rear quarter panel rust is notorious. If you have a clean one, you're lucky. Keep it that way! If not, fix it quickly before it gets worse. Rust is the only thing that can put these cars down for good.

Any plans for it, other than simply maintaining it?

Oh it's got the rear quarter/wheel arch rust. These shots were taking while lightning was flashing in a heavy downpour, so it looks way nicer than it does in direct sunlight.

Haven't decided what to do with it, ultimately - it's about to be replaced as my daily, but I don't think I can get rid of it just yet. Got me through a pretty tough spot and I'm kind of attached to it now.

Will probably hang onto it and mess with it time/money permitting. I'm never gonna do the necessary body work, so I keep flip-flopping on even doing a partial restore.

And thanks for getting me straightened out!

If you're going to leave the body to its fate, might as well crank some extra performance out of it while you can!
My favorite modifications were my H22A swap and my suspension (Koni Sport shocks and H&R Sport springs). Either one of those things will absolutely transform the car.

Never say never! Here's some encouragement (although it may not be!) to take care of the rust!

Buddy your work is amazing, I drooled over it quite some time ago, and it is indeed inspirational. I don't have the talent, patience, resources, but mostly talent to do what you've done!

I didn't have any talent for it when I started, learned as I went.

Heh. We'll see. This thing needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, suspension is pretty shot all the way around. Really at this point the rust is the least of the worry.

Like I said I don't think I can get rid of it, but may come back around to give it some attention at some point.

Checked out a what to me looks almost showroom 93 EX sedan yesterday - 68k original eng/tran miles. Asking $2,200 - and I'd spend that in parts on this one!

                Stay tuned...

As much as I hate to give up on one, I think I'd be all over one with only 68k.

Those minty fresh cb7's are getting more and more rare, if its rust free and in good working order might end up being cheaper in the long run. Keep us posted.
