MPH gauge

my speedometer is working when it wants to and bounces alot when its working my cruise works but when im going down the highway every thing will stop working . i have this same problem with my hatch except there r 2 or 3 wires bare and my gas gauge dont work either. but any way what is the problem. is it my veihicle speed sensor or a fuse or what.

see if the VSS(veihicle speed sensor) is broke or there is a wire that is bare connecting to it. if that does not fix then you need a MPH guage or a whole Insturment cluster (only if you cann't get the MPH guage seperate

my girls got the same prob in her 93 civic and i read that if its the vss, the car would throw a cel.

try checking the speedo cable itself maybe....

sometimes it throws a cell and some times it dont
and also i have to wires under my dash that are cut and live and i have not had time to c what they are.
