ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

No, I am completely unfamiliar with the F22B-anything. I am very familiar with the F22Ax. Only time I've even seen a Bx is glancing quickly inside the open engine bay of a 5th-gen in a junkyard while looking fot 4th-gen parts.

        F22B1 sucks.
F22B2 sucks less... but still kinda sucks.

F22A is a very strong design.

So the one with less hp sucks less? Ah, Honda. So smart, yet sometimes you do stupid things.

no. not stupid. the sohc VTEC were made more for economy than for performance. thats why you wont find alot of aftermarket parts out there. like Deev and others have said before, the f22a series flows better than the f22b. i wouldnt want to get a f22b VTEC due to the fact that its not worth the swap. it has 5HP more to start off with? i can get 5HP from adding on the f22a6 intake manifold. then another 5 from the cam.

oh if anyone is looking for the f22a6 intake manifold i have one for sale

I wasn't refering to the f22b vs the f22a there. I was saying the F22B1 (145hp) vs the F22b2 (130hp), since deev said the b2 sucks less than the b1, but the b2 came in the lower-end 5th gens (DX/LX) than the b1 (EX).

Also, I was saying earlier that the b1 has 5 more than the a6, so how can you "add" the a6 intake manifold (or cam) to an engine that already has it?
If you simply mistook what I was saying, I'm sorry. Sometimes my posts aren't as clear to everyone as I think they are when I type them.

BTW, Shadow1, nice sig. Did you hang out the window for that, or did somebody else while you were driving? Action shots ftw.

ha ha my a1 to a6 swap is costing me the price of a ecu for 5 spd a6 as soon as i can find 1 i also wonder if u still get a nice gain from the a6 i/m it's almost ready just waiting on highflow cat and to find a ecu if any 1 here knows where i can find 1 please let me know.

I honestly don't know too much about the F22B2... but I know the way the VTEC system was worked into the F22B1, the ports are not very free-flowing at all. Since the F22B2 is non-VTEC, I assume it flows better. I don't know how it compares to the F22A.

Add the F22A4 header to the F22A6 engine, and you'll make the same power as the F22B1, probably in a broader range as well.

lol. everyone is hooked on getting VTEC. youll be ok. id rather have a non-VTEC and be faster than to have a VEC thats more for economy. lol

I know. I've never actually riden in a car with VTEC, anyway. Unless an '01-ish CRV has it.

lmao. very true. it would be better to ride in a car that has a B16, B18, or a H22 to get that VTEC to kick in and you actually feel it.

Hate to break it to you, but the F22B1 really has no VTEC changeover. Nothing like the DOHC engines that everyone associates with VTEC.
