Thumbs up RV6-Performance PreCat Delete down pipes

Oh well, we live and learn.

These came in the mail today!

I have modified the 2.25" Magnaflow cat with a 2.5" pipe and bored out the flange to match.

Now she will be 2.5" all the way back like I wanted.

Mail box put out once again this week.

Thanks to Jason @ Burtman Industries these drop springs shipped very quickly and arrived as described. Great customer service

Thanks again Jason!

As well have to send a shout out to Chris Harris @ Xenocron Tuning Solutions for the quick shipping of my KTuner purchase. As usual great customer service from them as well. Go to Chris for pretty much all of my tuning hardware and software.

Thanks again Chris!

Just finished my last night shift and should hopefully be able to find some time to install all of these parts, sooner than later. Fun in the snow is right around the corner!

ITBs on a Ridgeline absolutely fascinate me.

What are the chances of installing a manual transmission from a TL SH-AWD?

The ITB's are for his RL from the sounds of it, not the Ridgeline. I'm curious myself about the trans swap though. Would be nice not to be locked into auto's only on the bigger Honda vehicles.

Being in this thread, I figured it was just shorthand for RidgeLine.

Yeah it was shorthand for Ridgeline....

I'm already on the look out for a 6spd out of the 09-14 TL SH-AWD 3.7L. That is not going to be a cheap venture. So for now, I'm going to stick with the auto trans and ITB's. If the auto trans happens to blow up somehow...... Then I will definitely go with the manual swap vs replacing it with another auto trans.

I know KTuner works on the TL SH-AWD. So I have the tuning and computer part already. It's all the manual trans hardware that I have to look into.

My Bakflip G2 tonneau cover arrived today, took time to install it!

After that I stopped by my local machine shop and picked up my intake manifold.

Had the lower spacer and the bottom portion of the upper intake manifold machined to accept my throttle bodies.

Spacer

Upper Intake Manifold

GSX-R Throttles

I will take some time this weekend to fit up the secondary fuel rail, throttle linkages and the mount for the throttle motor.

The fuel injector spacing on these ITBs is exactly the same as the stock J35 rails. So I purchased an extra set of rails. I have a modified set of GSX-R injectors and complete wiring harness to install as well.

Got the secondary J35Z5 fuel rails and 240cc GSX-R injectors mounted today.

Rails and injectors mocked up so I could get the measurements for the aluminum mounting brackets.

Aluminum brackets fabricated and rails mounted to the GSX-R throttles.

The stock rails have the injectors pointing out from the center where as these are pointing in. This actually worked out in my favor as it took less fabrication to mount them this way on the throttles.

Complete intake manifold with lower intake runners mounted.

I will be using the stock injectors and fuel rails as well as these secondary injectors.

Thank you. All it takes is a little patience......

It will be a little while before I have any video of this in action. This install will have to wait until later in the spring. That's when I bring my Grand Am out from storage. I will drive the GA while this one goes under the wrench.

Cool Upper Intake Manifold Modifications

Picked up my Non IAB upper intake cover this week. Preparing to paint it the same colour as the chassis.

Factory casting flaw removal.

Paint to follow.....

Also took some time to port and polish the upper intake manifold.

I'm getting the itch to install all these parts. I still have a foot of snow in the yard and the streets are messy with melting snow, sand, salt and potholes. Lots of potholes...gotta love the Maritimes.

The sooner I can get the Grand Am out of storage and back on the road. The sooner this one gets a makeover.
