    Won’t start!

I have a 1991 Honda Accord LX with over 200,000 miles and it’s auto. The car will turn over all day but doesn’t start. Every now and then it will back fire. I replaced the distributor thinking that was the issue. And still nothing! The car has spark and I can hear the fuel pump kick on. I’ve checked all the grounds as well and even went as far as spraying starting spray into the intake and still nothing! I’m stuck guys! Help! Also the timing belt is still intact.

Try double checking the timing. Might be time for a compression test.

Any codes? Also if you sprayed starter fluid in the intake you should have had something and maybe that is the backfire. Compression test and checking timing are definitely the next step.

I’d verify fuel pressure too if it tried to start with the spray. It should be around 40ish pounds.

I would pull the return line off of the fuel rail and make sure when you turn the key on it sprays out a good amount of fuel.
they have a light you can hook up to a injector wire to make sure your getting a pulse to it. it will be a 5v light on our cars.
when the car cranks is the spark good and strong?
when you replaced the dizzy did you mark its location to get it back in time?
i have had the cog on the dizzy 180 degrees off and that will cause it. it will go on 180 degrees off but not super easily and when i have done it it broke one side of the cog off.
if your not sure about the timing the car should start if the dizzy is in the middle. I would think it would still start anywhere in its range.
you hooked the wires up right to? 1342?
did you check your wiring harness ground connection on the thermostat housing and engine ground wire and are all of your fuses good?
