    Brakes hanging up?

I was driving my cb across town and when i was getting off the freeway after some gassing and braking to get threw traffic when i was on the off ramp It felt like my car had a flat tire so i pulled over and all of the tries where fine.
It was like i was driving with the e brake set but the back was not squatting. When i would be stopped in gear the car would not move forward or back up with out me gassing it. I drove to a side street and i called my brother. he said check the tranny fluid so i did, it was fine. we talked for a minute and i was getting readdy to crack a brake line to see if something was up with the abs and it was keeping pressure on the brakes. when i was getting ready to do that my brother said try putting your car in natural and see if you can push it so i did and I could. then i was like well what if i try driving it and everything seemed fine. i think i can feel a little drag when i am driving but i cant tell.
Does this sound like i have a brake caliper that sticks when it gets hot or a bad tranny?
I jacked up the car and all of the wheels spin freely and when i give them a good spin they heep going a little when i spin the front passenger it spins freely but stops rather quickly when i stop spinning it.
is it possible that when it gets hot it locks up more and sticks and when it cools down i can drive? or what else could it be?

If a brake is dragging, it will heat up the rotor and even the wheel; if it is really bad, it will start smoking because the pad(s) are getting REALLY hot. How old is your brake fluid? Maybe check that the calipers are floating correctly on the slide pins.

I ended up pulling the calipur and trying to move the piston and it was stuck. I replaced the caliper and that fixed it. I had no clue that could happen that the brakes could just almost a lock up like that then release once they cool down. My brakes didn't get too hot but that might partially be because I have drilled and slotted rotors

Another super common cause of brakes locking up are the brake hoses. They get old & deteriorate over time, then collapse making it so fluid can’t travel back from behind the piston.

Rule of thumb I was taught was to R&R hoses every 8 years or sooner if they show signs of being brittle. It’s pretty dangerous if this happens cause only one caliper braking results in a very strong pull to the side that works and can cause an accident.

Happened to me when I had my Scirocco & I almost got destroyed by a uHaul truck. Check them hoses man.

Okay so it turned out that did not fix my car, they started doing it again! It's only after I drive for a long time on the freeway and then get off and get in stop and go traffic it will have a little bit of drag. I probably put 50 or 75 miles on it today with no issues then I drive it out kind of far from home and it starts doing it again. I'm pretty sure it's not the transmission right? I am thinking maybe it's the brake line like somebody was saying or the ABS module possibly? Has this ever happened to anybody?

Should I just replace both front lines? Are they the ones that normally do it?

This is another symptom of collapsed lines. Replace all soft lines. If one is faulty, the others aren’t far behind. Preventative maintenance goes a long way, especially with brakes/suspension.

After driving it more i am leaning toward a transmission issue, When I turn the ignition on and its in park is the d4 light suppose to come on for like 2 seconds ? I jumped the blue service connector and nothing started blinking codes at me.

Lights will turn on and shut off when you start the vehicle. If the light is on when the engine is running, that’s when you have a problem. Replace that one brake hose and see what happens.
