Last night while driving my SE it started sputtering under acceleration, it would do it when I would go to leave stop lights, it felt like it was missing really hard and then it would either just go away or I would gas the hell out of it until it snapped out of it. It would not do it all the time under acceleration, only when I would go to leave a stoplight, normally once I was going and I would gas it it would be I be fine.
I recently put a short ram intake on it and Everywhere I Go I find myself gassing it to hear the intake, from past experience it seems like whenever I would run a CB7 hard and it would quir running it was the ICM, so I replaced it last night and it did not fix it.
This morning I tried putting a questionable D16 internal coil distributor on and besides the tach not working the car started up and drove 2 houses down and died and wouldnt start. I put the stock distributor back on and tightened up the harness ground on the thermostat housing. It was not as tight as I would have liked it to have been but it was not loose or corroded so I don't think that was causing the problem. After doing that the car seems to be running fine. I don't feel comfortable telling myself it was the ground because it was not corroded and it was on there. It was not as tight as i would have liked but it was still on there. When I tried searching the forms 4 sputtering issues I couldn't find one that really matched mine.
I just wanted to post this and cover all of my bases because Im still not sure of I fixed it because it was kinda intermittent
