    2nd grade science project

    so me and my daughter have been working on her science project and when we went to do the fun stuff it did not work
    this is what we are doing.

    did everything it said but egg no float.
    andyon ever do this? some pointers would be great..
    oh and i tried this with hard boiled eggs also

        I looked around and from what I read it says that four teaspoons of salt to one cup of water should make the egg float. It also says that you should add one teaspoon of salt at a time, increasing the water's density, until the egg floats. You might just need more salt.

            yeah more salt, salt water is more dense that regular water, and that is what is in eggs. it will float....or else it's not working cuz it's getting close to 2012.

                  An interesting (or not) trivia fact, any unfertilized egg, no matter how big, is only a single cell. The ostrich egg is the largest cell on the planet.
