ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

That link deals mainly with converting an F22A1 to an F22A6... and he already has an F22A6. The only really useful thing he can get from that is the H23 intake manifold and plenum spacers.

Intake, exhaust, an intake manifold from an H23A1 (Prelude Si 2.3L) and that manual transmission swap would be your best options for power (and putting it to the ground). A good suspension is ALWAYS good... don't cheap out there. A quality set of full coilovers, or a good spring/shock combo like Neuspeed Race springs and Koni Yellow shocks would be smart.

Other than that... you have options... but the price goes up from there. You can swap in another motor, the H22 from a Prelude being a very nice one. You can build a turbo kit. You can do some serious work to your F22A6 (which has LOTS of potential, believe it or not...)

Thanks, I read the post and those are some good ideas, but lately i have been trying to decide whether or not it is worth it to put all the time and money into the car when i could just go out and buy a e36 m3 for a few grand. can i get that same power out of my accord for a reasonable price?

Most certainly. And when your Accord breaks, you can fix it for pocket change.

          There's a reason why I don't have an e36 M3 myself!

haha thanks, another question i had was that my engine has issues idiling and when it is in park and neutral the rpms jumpall around from less than 1000 up 3500 and i cant figure out how to fix it. i know that there is no air in the coolant and that was one of the things i was told can cause the problem. any advice? ( i have to get it smogged before the end of august and i am worried that this could cause problems)

There's a sticky in this section that deals with idle issues. Check it out, and see if any of those suggestions fix your problem. Chances are it's the IACV or FITV that are giving you problems.

I hope it works. It should... if not, look for vacuum leak. Surging idles are annoying! It's even more annoying (and embarassing!) with a loud exhaust!

Everything is a direct swap over, but you need to either get a conversion transmission mount from ESP, or weld in the transmission mount bracket (the one that's welded to the frame of the car) or it won't sit right... and you'll be breaking axles left and right. Well... mostly right.

Couldn't he put a p12 in it and get some gains out of it? I think that was the ecu I read about before.

Nope, well I'm actually not sure. I know Shadow is running his A6 with a P12. I'll race him and see lol, just kidding. The only hing is that you will have to hook the iabs up to the mani and not the black box.

The P12 is for the F22A1. The F22A6 has the IAB system, as well as a different camshaft. The P12 will not run the F22A6 any better than the PT6.
