ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Windows Not Rolling Up Straight

My window, on the passenger side front door, just started to do this thing that when i try to roll it up it will go up 98% of the way then it will act like it is catching something in the front and the back will have a little gap between the window and the seal. I took the door panel off and the window isn't catching on anything that I can see. Any suggestions???

I got the same thing but with my driver side window. I have tried the silicone spray but it only works for a couple of days and then it goes back to the same. has anyone done anything different that fixes this?

If it won't roll up all the way, its probably your window run channel getting bunched up, not enough dry lubricant, or is broken up somewhere causing it to catch somewhere.

Open up your window, carefully inspect the run channel (rubber piece that guides your window), check for breaks, cracks, or whatnot. If still good, it just needs dry lubricant. Do not use silicone spray as it will collect and trap dirt more. If not good, replace and apply silicone gel on the inside and sicone spray on the outside of it for better guidance.

I did this to my drivers side window and it works great still!

If you did both and still acts goofy, then its your window control arm and/or motor. Youtube "1aauto window motor replace" andit will have some guides on how to do so.

Awesome. Thanks for the help. I have been using the spray and it does seem to collect some dirt after a while. I hope this works.

Silicone is a bad idea. Graphite powder should be used. Silicone will work for a short time, and then you'll end up having to replace your window tracks.
I wish I had seen this sooner.

It also may be due to your window regulator needing to be adjusted. Pull your door panel and inspect it. I ignored a misaligned window for years, and the end result was damage to the mounting holes for the regulator... something that can only truly be fixed by replacing the entire door.
