Houston Accord summer blowout 9-12-09

Where:Nasa rd park/ kemah

When: September 12th 12:00 p.m. until everybody leaves.

Who: Accords of all generations.

Why: Good food/Good people

Rules:
1) No alcohol. No drugs as well.
2) No revving your engines or sounding your car horns.
3) No loud music. (please keep it at a respectful level)
4) Please watch your speed as you enter and exit the parking lot.
5) Please watch your trash. Do not leave trash on the ground.
6) No street racing at or near the event.
7) No burn/peel outs. No drifting.
8) No speeding in the parking lot!


Well its time again for another meet. We will be having a BBQ eat and greet and chill and picture time. Then we will make the short drive over to the kemah boardwalk for some good times.

For the BBQ I will be suppling hamburgers/hotdogs/drinks/ chips and such.
If you want to eat it it will be $3-5 a plate depending or you can bring some food with you and we will throw it on the grill.

Well It looks like i'm not going to be able to make it to the meet. My motor has just developed rod/wristpin knock after 2600 rpms, so its officially parked, until I figure out what I'm going to do about this.

I already drove it to austin and back over the weekend with the knock... it doesn't seem like i have a loss in power, just an annoying loud clicking sound after 2600rpms, that gets louder and faster as the rpms increase.

I should be able to go afterall, it just won't be in the cb... I should have a new car to take over daily driving duties, so I can get the cb running 150%, and relieve it of its daily driving duties. It drives good, still has power, just knocks bad and doesn't sound healthy over 2600rpms.

Time for a bisi forged internal, upped compression short-block, p&p the head, auto to 5 spd swap, poly mounts, custom exhaust, & bisi lvl 2 cam and tune should get it up and running nice and well, I estimate it will be 6-12 months before the cb is back on the road, and I won't be able to keep tires on it when I'm done... lol

So us northsiders will meet up at the hooters.Once everybody shows up we will roll out to the southside meet spot. Once were all at the Almeda mall we will all roll out the clear lake park which is the address posted on the flyer. The times may not be exact due to people coming from out of time.

If anybody needs directions or gets lost. My # is 832-335-0375 names Tim. Feel free to give me a call.

At the park there are restrooms,baseball field,soccer field,tennis courts, place to fish. I think I saw a basketball court? So bring some sport equipment with you if you like to have some fun while we chill.
