ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

If there is sediment in your tank, you're most likely to suck it up when the fuel is low. Also, the stock fuel pump is in-tank, and it's cooled by the fuel. For optimal pump life, going below 1/2 tank isn't great (my fuel pump has 230k on it, half of that done by me... and I ALWAYS take it deep into gas-light territory, so that bit of information contradicts my personal experience)
LOL! pray it doesnt short out :P (i know its pretty common for in fuel pumps )
JTM, fuel filters are changed at about 50K... thats when I did mine, but only because I'm anal about my car. Some cars probably go their whole lives w/o having the fuel filter changed. The big gas savers:
tire pressure.
air filter
oil changed regularly
not driving like a race car driver.
Thats it really. All of that stuff combined can save you a bunch of gas. I suggest getting a book about our cars and reading up on where everything is before you go messing around. Have people help you.

I've got a 91' LX coupe... 162K miles...I've only been able to put close to 15gallons in the tank....
new:
plugs, wires, cap/rotor, fuel/air filter.....
21mpg...... I'd love to get 25mpg with this thing....
the only thing not stock is that it has no cat.....
would a CAI help the mpg?,... could it be running too rich right now?...Last edited by Playfirst; 11-08-2007, 03:37 PM.

I usually use my car for going to and from school (about 2 miles) and sometimes I do drive a little... (that's an understatement...) rough and I go places with my friends sometimes (meaning cruising around town...) and uhh... church on sundays I guess (about 10 mile trip so back and forth is 20) and I get around...well I always fill when it's RIGHT above the E and I get around 280... shit I'm in deep trouble... gonna get everything changed...

i have an 90 lx with a f22a1 bored .020 over, cam, modified short ram, dc headers, hollowed out cat, apexi WS2 exhaust and i can get over 30-35 mpg. usually (i haven't had the money to completely fill up lately) i can get upwards of 400 on a tank. that was before most of the new parts but i got about 220 on 6 gallons. keep in mind this is all on premium gas. too much money in my engine to go with cheap gas!90 LX (R.I.P.) http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=137301
