    97 civic power lock issue

    hello all
haven't posted on here in awhile. I have a 97 civic lx 4 door. A couple months ago i lost power locks in all doors except the driver door. I know there is a power lock module behind the drivers door and i might try to replace that. Checked all fuses and they are good. does anyone have any idea what could cause this besides that power lock module? just trying to get some ideas so I'm ready when i attempt to fix it tomorrow.
    thanks

Do you have a test light?

Go to each door and locate the 2 wire plug going to the door hinge. Put the test light to ground and probe either wire while pressing lock and unlock. If you see your test light light up when you do the lock or unlock go to the other wire and repeat the test. If your getting a signal on both lock and unlock on the opposing wires then your motor is shot. If You are not getting a signal on one or the other then there is a break in the line or the door lock module is bad.

Usually on that year, all the door locks go bad. A cheap way Is installing a aftermarket door actuator in each door. There has to be modification done for this. I do it all the time to save people money. The downside Is that when you press the lock knob on the drivers door...the doors with the aftermarket actuator will not follow. But it will work fine with the switch.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
