ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    f22b dohc swap problems???

So I recently bought a 92 accord with an f22b swap and I'm running into a bunch of problems. It idles really weird, I've tried adjusting it but it still runs like crap. Bounces up and down between rpms and then some times it'll die coming to a stop. I know the stock PT6 ecu needs to be changed but it could still run halfway decent. Also there looks like a vacuum line popping out of the transmission it sits right on top but idk where that's suppose to go. I need a bunch of help on this, this is my only car so I need to get this thing running right. Can someone just plz help me and not make me feel like an idiot about it? I'm not dumb to cars just never worked the f22bs or many dohc for that matter. Help!!

I'm thinking that you may not be too familiar with cars. Your symptoms sound like nothing to do with the engine being a DOHC, or an OHC at all.

Start checking for vacuum leaks with a flammable liquid like carb cleaner being sprayed over the intake manifold and throttle body with the car running.

Check plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

Check EGR, PCV valve and O2 sensor also.

Also, F22Bs don't have a perfect timing belt option over here in the US. People either use B18C1 belts or belts from an '80s Caravan with the 2.7L V6. It's possible that the engine just isn't in time.

Start with those and research other possible methods to employ. You also never mentioned check engine lights so I'm assuming you don't have one.

Cap, rotor, plugs and wires are brand new. I've done all the maintenance like that. No vacuum leaks are showing but I did find a solid green wire coming off my ecu harness that's cut. Not sure what wire that's for??

Find out what pin number it corresponds to and you'll have your answer.
