What's your favorite online build thread?

All of us are car guys and gals, and all of us spend time on other sites besides CB7Tuner. I find myself being very drawn to high quality build threads for cars. It doesn't even have to be a car I'd be interested in building myself. Sometimes just the level of dedication or quality and thoroughness of someone's work can be all I need to get hooked.

This thread will be a compilation of everyone's favorite build threads. Post more than one, but don't flood the thread with every thread you've ever liked. The idea is that you'd like the people you're sharing "your" threads with to actually delve into them for a while.

I'll get things started with one I'm rereading for the second time. It's a 1990 CR-X on Honda-Tech that the starts off doing a complete restoration on. He's going for a factory look and mechanical setup, but better. Sound-deadening and undercoating galore! He does a few thighs that's kind of take away from he car, but he more or less rectifies them later.

    Here's the thread.

    Let's see yours!

I really don't have one favorite. There are so many talented hobbyists and mechanics out there on the interweb. So I'll post one up of a fellow CD5 enthusiast that caught my eye for having a real attention to detail.

There was another really good one on G5Alive, but thankfully that site is long gone. Wish the member had used a better forum to post his build thread. He had some really trick mods on his JDM CD6. Like a VW Corrado Active Spoiler!

and a Non Honda one that I try and follow.

This is my all time favorite. Sunbeam Minx with S2000 swap. Dude has insane fabrication skills.

I love cars, all kinds of makes and model of cars, there are alot of individuals out there doing amazing things with their cars. I have over the years come accross some very interesting stuff and the next link is to perhaps the most interesting to me, why? because of the dedication and work he put into a mirage to make it into an Evo and specially because he sold an Evo to make an Evo.

Yeah, I really like that Mirage! A member that used to be pretty active here had a brother that made a 2-door Mirage into an AWD EVO clone. Even converted it to RHD! I've seen a couple of pictures, but there's no build thread on that car. But I'm assuming the same amount of work went into that.

Oh my god, I feel so retarded now. I've seen that car, and the left-hand-driveness completely threw me off. I was wondering if the cars were sold in Germany in LHD or something, and it was an import from some such country. I'm such a dumbass.

Also saw what I thought was a RHD Evo IV, but now I'm not so sure...

I love those old Evo's with the 3 being my favorite, a HUGE fan of the Cosworth fords too, Subaru's have a very rich history as well but for some reason i am not as attracted to them as the other two

I'm the opposite: I prefer Imprezas over Lancers (still really like Lancers, though), and love the Fords. Could not tell you why I prefer the Suby, I think that's a mystery no matter what side of the fence you sit on. At least we got the GC in America, which doesn't require as much work to convert to an STi as a Mirage does to an Evo.

An old co-worker of mine was converting a 00 impreza to an STI, dude was loaded(i honestly had no idea why he was working there) and had 3 projects he was working on; a later model supra, the impreza, and oddly a wrx that he put a 2.5 engine on to(dont ask why, i asked him and hes response was why not). I like the way subarus look, specially that blue color and awd doesnt hurt but EVO 3 i drool over.

Sorry Jarrett for going on and on on your thread.

                          Naturally aspirated 2.5L or the EJ255 / 257 from the 2006-up WRX / STi / Legacy / Forester?

N/A 2.5, me and the manager who was a friend of his were surprised by that decision but it was his car and he seemed to have money to throw away.

That is odd. There's absolutely zero performance gain going that route. I can't think of any builds over the years focusing on the NA boxer.
