    I'm going to move it to where I see fit. OP, I respectfully ask that you try to maintain the discussion on the modification of the head itself, as opposed to your build in its entirety. I'm pretty sure that was your intentions anyway.

          old but

          I know this is an old thread but I wanted to say thank you for the post. I hope you're still active on this forum. I'm not sure if I should PM the question I have or just post it, so I'll do both I suppose.
          When you say "add aluminum weld" are you saying that someone basically welded with filler rod to fill the gap where you need it closed?

            Yes, he just built up the material in that location only to mill it down flush with the head surface. The alternative usually chosen by people who do this is Hondabond and/or JB-Weld. You can imagine how that usually ends.
