ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

hogged out iab for N/A or F/I

I am swapping my intake mani to A6 runners, double stack iabs one gutted, and h23 upper and tb. Is hogging out one of the iab plates and possibly the plenum good for a N/A setup. I know doing this increases the plenum size. Just did'nt know if this is better for a N/A or F/I. I am going N/A setup Iwill be getting bisi stage 2 cam and springs in the very near future. Bisi header and magna flow cat back in the next couple of months. I have a pt6 ecu cause i have the A4 and iI want functioning butterflies and I also have the black box.

More air = more power...get a proper time after everything is installed and you should be good to go

If it creates an unreasonable amount of turbulence, it could cause more harm than good. More air does not equal more power if the air itself becomes a restriction.

Do i need a tune with those mods? I was planning on much more in the future. and was hoping I could do this untuned. I was planning on tuning after my head work and bottom end mods

Is there any way to find out if this does create unreasonable turbulance. Or should I just double stack with the gutted one?

no you do not HAVE to tune it afterwards, but with a good tune you car will work more efficiently.

Thanks tutsuo I thought that was the case. But as being a nube and learning from research I wasnt sure. I plan on getting a tune after the rest of of mods just wanted to do some minor stuff for now a little extra power until I can save up to get everything else. So i guess now my question is will hogging out 1 iab and the plenum cause to much turbulence with the mods I'm doing right now and cause a power loss
