Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

What would you do with $3000?

Just a simple question. If you had three thousand dollars to spend on the powertrain of your CB7, how would you spend it?

I don't know too much about H22's, but I'd go H22a mildly built. Sorry not a lot of detail, like I said I don't know too much about them.

Personally I'd put a turbo on it, but seeing as this is in the NA section . . .

The first thing I would do is make a realistic power goal, not a money goal . . . Just saying.

Clear obvious things though without prices:

      Tuned ECU
      Cams
High Comp Pistons & Rods to suit
      Dyno time.

Whoops, Just realized you said "Drivetrain"
$3000 is overkill for a NA drivetrain.

      But however (again no prices):
      Custom built axles
      LSD
      Heavy duty clutch

Car Safety / General Servicing Checks --------Basic suspension checks

      My 5.7 LS1 Holden Ute

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

Just to clarify, I didn't mean drivetrain. I meant powertrain. Engine and transmission. Sorry

I would be cheap. Find someone who can't finish their build and buy there stuff. Pick up a lot of used/previously owned parts.
              $2000

Spend the other $1000 on LSD and carbon sychros.

Since this is N/A section I would use the money to do a k swap.... well at least start one

If at first you don't suceed, then skydiving is not for you.

I try not to down talk anyone, when I read my old questions I realize I was an idiot too.

I'd shop around and buy a cheap k24/6-spd trans.

With the change.. I would have to agree K all day, but not quite sure it would be a complete build with only that amount of money (suspension upgrade.. required)
