ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Temp Gauge Stuck on Cold

I was driving home today and noticed that my temp gauge didnt move from Cold at all. I installed another temp sensor(the 1 wire sensor) that was from my sons 91 SE. I still have the same problem. I did noticed that the gauge will drop just an 1/8 of an inch when i start the car. Should I swap gauge clusters?? I do have another cluster lying around. Do anybody have any ideas?????

Try checking your thermostat. I was experiencing the same problems as you. My thermostat was stuck open. Also, if you experience lack of heat, it could also be you thermostat.

I changed the thermo when I found out that the swapped temp sensor didnt fix the problem. Im thinking the actual gauge on the cluster died on me. Has anyone else experienced this situation?????

I also grounded the 1 wire plug to see if the temp gauge move and it didnt.

I'm a mechanic and I've replaced the temp gauges in accords several times.
the diodes go bad or something. I think there might even be a TSB.

if you grounded the sensor wire and still got nothing then you probably need to try swapping clusters unfortunately.

I was thinking I needed to replace the cluster. It just that I got 98,076 miles on it. I know clusters in the J-yards are going to be way over 150,000 miles on them. Is there a way to roll the odometer back on the cluster from the J-Yards to reflect what my miles actually are???? Is this illegal????

When you say swap temp gauges, are they just screwed to the ckt board??? They are not soldered to the ckt board?? I have an extra junk cluster Ive been playing with. Im going to check this out. Thanks!

it isnt the gauge...its the temp sending unit.

its a piece sticking out of the motor on the passenger side! go to advance auto parts, they have them available new
