ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Junkyard tb problem

Ok so today me and my friend set out to get bigger throttle bodies at the junkyard. My friend has a 92 accord f22a1. We,found a h23 and a acura vigor. There were a bunch of cb7 accords all over the place. So we test fit a h23 tb onto a dead ex 92 accord and it fit. When we got back to my place the stupid thing wouldn't bolt up. Any ideas wat to do. I was thinkin swap out the ex upper onto the a1 then boltin up the h23 tb . Or exchange the h23 one for the vigor one we found. We won't have time to do a full h23 mani swap and there were like 20 hornets hovering over the prelude. His goal is more top end power

. As a side note I got a 58 mm tb off a 3.8 caravan to replace my 48 on my 94 shadow 3.0 v6 and it spins through second instead of chirpin so it definetly helped and I didn't even port match and the gasket was to small so I cut it with a blade. Hopfully we can get the accord a little more power tomorow any info would be helpfull

It sounds like the ex you swapped it on already had an h23 plenum. The h23 plenum won't work with the a1 manifold. Best case scenario, get the manifold off of the ex you tried the tb on in the jy or go see if the vigor tb fits an a1 manifold.

you need to go back and get the lower part of the H23 runner (for top end power) or F22A6 runner off that EX (for a bit more low end torque)...either one will bolt up to the F22 engine.

Your A1 runner won't work, it only has 4 ports vs the 8 of an H23 plenum

        Hmm

The ex seemed stock we ripped the factory air hose off the ex and unbolted the tb. And on the way out the h23 fit. Do you think the ex upper will fit the lx lower

H23 tb doesn't bolt up to an accord manifold from what I remember. And no, the ex upper will not fit the lx lower as explained above.

            Hmm

I did a head gasket on a 97 accord a year ago and the intake was a nightmare. Is the h23 one hard to remove I.e bracket bolts under the mani. Since the prelude is on top a audi a4 and it's teetering I don't want a car to fall on me and get bitten by hornets i'd rather find a tb that fits on the lx thats at least a little bigger than stock

My A1 throttle body fit my H23 mani so an H23 TB should work on a F22a intake mani.

                Hmm

Hey thanks for the fast responses

But the gasket and the tb wouldn't line up on his accord the 2 right studs came out and the tb was 2 wide by a few mm to bolt up but it fit the jy ex fine..

I'm goin to the jy tomorow to sort this out and try to find a ecm from a prelude f22 and a a6 cam possibly.

He's tired of my rusty shadow and civic's beating him.gotta get the cb7 some more power
