ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Unknown connectors under dash

I noticed some unused connectors under the driver side dashboard. What are these for? I have some issues with my car so I would like to know.
    Here are the photo's:

The black 8 pin plug is your fan timer switch, without it your cooling fans won't kick on. You have to drop down the cruise control unit to plug it back in. Kind of a pain in the butt.

      Thx Rilas!
But last time I checked my fan did come on.
      I'll look into it though.
I don't have cruise control so I guess it will be easy.

Anyone else knows what the other 2 are for?

        Specs?

Coupe, Sedan, Wagon? Auto, Manual? Year? SRS System (airbags)? Ill see what I can find but I need all that info. I have it narrowed down to a couple connectors. Give me the exact number of pins on each connector (number of wires as well). A better description or picture of the connector location with a known connector reference.
        Hey yo uhhhhhh fry man!!!!

They are all located under the steering column where the dashboard ends (towards the pedals)

Thanks Rilas! The black connector is indeed the cooling fan control, but i can't find the timer unit on my car. Is it near the fusebox? Is this timer unit for AC? My car doesn't have A/C.

When i bought the car the gauge cluster was broken and the temp gauge was constant in red. The PCB was Burnt and the red wire on the thermostat was loose and made contact with the transmission. That's probably why it burnt. Maybe the timer unit got damaged too and someone took it out.

The cooling fan control box is missing on CBs that didn't come with AC from factory, they just have the empty plug. Radiator fan works without this box, however to get the AC to kick on your fans you need this box.
