    The new 1/4th mile racing thread

    No comments will be made in this thread, congrats or disputes should be PM'd!This thread will be alot more structured than the racing stories. Posts will be written as below, fill in all the information you can that is available, list it as written on the timeslip, or scan the timeslip. If you need to list multiple runs be sure to keep it organized. Once we get enough posts and times i'll make a top 10 list. I'll start...

    My setup:
    Best Reaction time - .520 on a .500 tree
    Best 60 ft - 2.1
    1/8 Mile time - 9.2
    1/8 Mile trap speed - 75mph
    1/4 Mile time - 14.8
    1/4 Mile trap speed - 98mph

    Mods/dyno numbers - F22a1 with a6 intake manifold, 8 psi, t3/t40e 50 trim ball bearing turbo, logstyle manifold, 450cc injectors, uberdata, 6 puck clutch, yokohama avs ES100's, untuned at the time

    Weight (or weight reduction, if a number isn't availible) - 3060 lbs with me in it

    Excuses: I'd snapped my axles the night before so i didn't want to launch hard, untuned, only 8psi, and balding tires

    Mods/dyno numbers - H23a1 with accord tranny, 7 psi, Garret t3/t04e .60/.63 w/stage 3 57 trim wheel non-ballbearing, tial 35mm w/g, external dump, logstyle manifold, stock injectors, fmu/missing link, kuhmo ecsta's 205/55/15, 4 puck clutch, 7lb flywheel, 2.5" downpipe and cat, 3" exhaust

    Weight reduction-Nothing in the trunk, rust holes. Otherwise stock 90 ex 2dr

    Excuses: temperature that day, fmu/missinglink, been turbo'd for 4 days, lack of driving experience with it turbo'ed.

      Last dyno on 6/05: 165 hp 147 ft lbs
      MODS:2000 USDM H22A4 w/ H23 tranny AEM CAI ,DC sports header, custom 2.5 in to an ES oval exhaust.


      Excuses: Some bullshit chip in my P72 that is making me run super rich, my A/F ratio was off the chart!! Stupid Azenis tires that will not compress no matter how much air I let out of them...

            All runs last year, haven't been to the track this year

            Best run to date:
            rt: .077
            60ft: 2.204
            1/8 ET: 9.672
            1/8 MPH: 73.09
            1/4 ET: 15.045
            1/4 MPH: 91.06

            mods: Thermal Stealth cat-back, AEM cold-air, NGK Iridium, Bosch plugs, ZEX dry shot (65)

            weight reduction: none

            excuses: none other than having no traction

            Best run with a slightly smaller shot (55)
            R/T: -.052 (yep, redlighted this one...my only redlight so far )
            1/8: 10.010 @ 71.13
            1/4: 15.545 @ 88.72

            Best run without nitrous
            (don't have the slip with me and all I remember is the 1/4 time)
            16.3 @ ~82mph

              Haven't run at track but have a G-tech meter which doesn't cound for dial in.

              1/4 times
              17.3 first time ever no launch uphill (slightly) at about 82mph trap

              16.77 with good launch level at at 87mph trap

              16.71 with good launch even though I hit the brakes right before finishing read 72.5 trap what the heck but I have it on vid (pm with place to post if you don't believe me, or I'll try to pull screens of it) woulda had at 16.5 or lower if not for braking

              f22a1 with SR + muffler w/AUTO tranny. Engine was rebuilt before I bought the car. Gtech dyno consistently 129-135hp.

              excuses... auto, extra stuff in trunk (no system, literally, just junk in tha trunk) haven't run recently only did 10 runs or so will try again and repost with DC sports headers

                1/8 Mile trap speed - 84.77 mph
                1/4 Mile time - 13.989
                1/4 Mile trap speed - 104.79 mph

                2nd time trial

                r/t- -.044
                60 ft - 2.264
                1/8 Mile time - 9.168
                1/8 Mile trap speed - 82.78 mph
                1/4 Mile time - 13.949
                1/4 Mile trap speed - 103.15

                1st bracket race: Dialed at 13.96

                r/t- .093
                60 ft - 2.239
                1/8 Mile time - 8.878
                1/8 Mile trap speed - 86.07 mph
                1/4 Mile time - 13.570
                1/4 Mile trap speed - 101.54 (Hit brakes because I had a HUGE lead, and still broke out badly, could have been a 13.3-.4 easily)

                Full interior, 1/3-1/2 tank of gas, about 65 degrees out.

                  Don't have my slip handy but remember my 1/4 time

                  1/4 time: 16.6

                  Mods at the time: ebay cold air intake

                  excuses: pretty much stock ex coupe with bald, dry rotted tires. I'm not complaining about that time. This was 2 years ago. I need to get out and see my times with new mods.

                      Tonight i ran a 10.39 at 70 mph tonight with my bone stock h23 with obx header 2.50 pipe with reactive muffler and sr intake tell me what u think I went to Benson NC track

                        Got in 12 runs tonight, but here's the best of them (Happened to be my 7,8 and 9th runs by the way).

                        Pulled alot of .06 r/t , one .007 and a -.001. Had the -.001 been a perfect light (.000) I would have won some $ but o well.

                            my 1/4 was 16.27 @ 87
                            winter tires, and my tires werent warmed up yet, the car is an automatic! and i had junk in my trunk
                            intake exhaust and me as a driver is my mods!

                              USDM F22B1 w/intake and ebay special header as the only "power adders".

                              I've made quite a few changes to it since this so I think it would be right at a 15 flat or maybe 14.9 with some good driving.

                              New changes:
                              better, wider tires
                              MSD 6AL
                              MSD HVC Blaster Coil
                              adj. cam gear
                              adj. FPR
                              chipped P28
                              stripped a few more things out
                              2.25" exhaust and straight-through "muffler" (doesn't muffle anything ha!)
                              full tune-up and all new fluids
                              and some other things
