    Fixing a Rim Q's

    So I've been watching alot of videos and reading articles on how to repair alloy rims and so far all I got from it was a bunch of contradicting solutions.

    What I have are my stock coupe alloys that have a few gouges in them.
    I need is a list of the best things to use to fill in the gouges and out of that list which one will be able to be polished as if there was never an inperfection in the wheels to begin with.

    So can anybody help me out?

    I tried JB Weld once, but it won't polish up very well. How deep are the gouges and where are they? If it is just the very outer lip, the 80 grit wheel I describe in the links below can be used to smooth them out, even if you have to reduce the height of the lip some. I've removed corrosion from wheel weights:

    I used this technique a few years ago on the entire wheel. I couldn't get it quite as nice as factory, but it looked a heck of a lot better than when I started. I'll see if I can find that thread.

    I have also had some wheels professionally refinished. After I do, I don't let the tire stores use weights on the outside of the wheels; they have done pretty well using adhesive weights just behind the spokes to balance the front of the wheel.

        The gouges are on the front of the spoke.
        they arn't that deep but they're to deep to just be sanded out.

        I saw that technique on youtube when I was looking for some answers, although I dont think that will work in my case because of the location of the gouge
