Iab plate converted to a plate that works like an itb setup. Small throttle plates im hoping will give better response over stock plenum and throttle body setup and less loss of torque and an awesome sounding engine. I had this set up on my 3rd gen lude and it sounded great, cammed like. I now have a f22a in a 3rd gen lude.

So is this a throttle cable operated IAB setup? Or are the primary ports sealed and the secondary ports and these plates the operational throttles with the original single throttle on the intake removed?

Its my friends. No plenum. Just runner and iab/itb plate. Throttle cable is there no tb.. when the cable is pulled the plates will open

How about adding something like below? Maybe even run them offset/angled, compensating for the limited spacing. or running them like Ghost's setup (see his signature)

Very cool idea... You could think of adding GSR type velocity stacks to lengthen and smooth out the incoming air.

Here are the soft rubber GSXR ones that I am using on my Tribute build. I am also running an air box with them as you can see.





Running ITB's with velocity stacks is a good way to go if you are not running a plenum.


Where are you getting your vacuum source for the MAP signal from? Did you tap into the runners below the IAB throttle plates? Or are you tuning using a non MAP based algorithm such as Alpha N?

I have never worked on the IAB plates and I'm just wondering what diameter those plates and runners are as well?

Another one of your friends says he would love to hire this friend to fabricate one of these with velocity stacks and a good MAP tap going into a6 runners, that is, if the H23 plenum search comes up empty handed .

We r still tinkering with the vac. We would like 2 use another iab plate. Remove the plates and stuff. And drill holes for the vac

Update

We was concerned about a filter for the plate. So I sold him my h plenum.. no tb.. he will take the studs out. Open the hole with a die grinder as much as he can. And stick a small pcv pipe and attack a filter for now. Then place a iab spacer then the machine shop iab.

He wants to test it on my 2.0.
