Man, what an asshole. Hopefully you can sue him or get some type of compensation from that crash.

Hopefully you get better. I can see you come back but not any time soon.

Feel better!

Oh this makes me sick. Rip Betsy. Get better soon Gary. I hate to see so much time and money lost because some asshole was in a hurry and can't drive. I know you had some good memories and sentimental value with Betsy. Best of luck and hope you can save some parts.

I think that betsy pulled harder. But that may be a biased opinion. Lol

Betsy definitely pulled harder to 100mph for sure. But it was also about 750lbs lighter with only 35whp less. Thats roughly a 16:1 lb/hp ratio vs 15:1lb/hp. Its still stock, for now at least.

I'd suggest removing your check valve from the TL so you don't burn your clutch up like everyone else does when they drive the manual J series.

I had my clutch go out because of it, took it out and I have 70k+ on my current clutch now.

Is your TL an auto or manual? I had a buddy with one, from a dig or a low speed roll, it was pretty close to about 86-90mph... after that, my car would clobber him fairly easily.

Glad you're doing OK! I get on here about once a month to check in on things, still on the hunt for a CB7.

still hunting for a cb7. i want a clean dx for sure. as far as the clutch goes i already swapped to a braided line that deletes the damper. the shifter was the other week point. i now have the same delrin shifter bushings and i ordered a k-tuned billet shifter aswell. on the subject of the tl vs the accords. the tl is a cow but it's geared extremely well and the base 6MT, like mine, is faster then the three type-s 6MT i have raced. two of them had an intake and j-pipe. the lack of torque in the base i think helps the launch. i guess im going to start a different thread about the TL for those who want to hear about it and close up betsy's.

betsy may be resurrected. I will find out here in a few weeks if the body shop can weld a new front clip on and change the roof sheet metal.
