ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Clutch Issue

Ok, so just did a clutch on the coupe, but when i put her into gear, nothing happens. Even if i let off the clutch in gear, she idles like shes still in neutral. Could this be a bad slave? Fluid level was low when we checked it, filled it and still nothing.

Also, the odometer moves slowly on its own and the speedometer sits at 10 MPH at idle and when you rev her up, speed needle goes up too.

    Any ideas? again

Edit: so i think the odometer issue is stemming from the speedo needle sitting at 10 MPH and would probably explain why she doesnt stall in gear with clutch out, but doesnt explain why it's happening.

He said he made sure the flywheel side was facing the flywheel (disc had a stamp indicating).

          Should be tightened down.

Did you bleed the system, or just fill it? The clutch hydraulic system is a closed system. The fluid should never go anywhere. If the fluid was low, you have a leak. You have air in your system. Your pedal is doing nothing.

However, that should result in the clutch always being engaged.

Are your cables connected and intact?

It was filled, but not bled yet. When i added fluid, it got a little stiffer, but not much. As far as cables, not 100% sure.

Also, would fluid cause issues with pedal adjustment?

ya, you need to bleed the system. But with that said Deev is right, if you're clutch is doing nothing it would always be engaged, even in gear or changing gears.

Is your slave cylinder moving when you push the pedal?

RESOLVED: with the axle out, the gearbox was spinning without 3800 lbs of resistance and would drop to 0 MPH with clutch in. It was in, but not completely flush. Bled and filled the system and so far, so good
