Custom retrofit gauge pods in progress

I didn't want my gauges for my turbo project over my head, so I decided to retrofit them next to my cluster...enjoy

Parts list
2" pvc pipe (white, black..whichever one you want..get from lowes or homedepot..less than $3 for about a 2 1/2 piece)
crazy glue (to glue the gauges to the bezel and the cloth to the pod and bezel)
small hack saw ( I also use a small torch and heated a knife to cut the lower curve of the bezel)
resin with hardener ( to resin the cloth/fiberglass)
spot and glazing putty
sand paper
elbow grease

real easy to make too...2" inner diameter pvc pipe, small hack saw, crazy glue, resin, cloth
I got the idea from another site in how to make customs gauges off to the side of the steering wheel, then I decided why not retrofit them next to the cluster

I plan to finish it up with some sanding, bondo and paint

X2 I agree, I really like that placement, it's clean and not in the way of anything.

Great work so far man. I like the idea of the guages not feeling out of place or thrown in. Very well thought out.

Nice!

Always wanted to do this for my turbo coupe. Reminds me of the aftermarket civic cluster.

Def great diy. I might consider this for a project since I have extra interior dash bezels.

Get some more progress pics up

Wow! End result looks fantastic! Your lucky you have a 90 cluster to avoid the maintenance required color film.

Your bezel is off a 92 93 from the curve right?

I'm def going to tackle this diy in the summer. Any more tips?

I can't remember which bezel I have...but I did replace it at one time...

Just take your time...if your using putty make sure it has harder with it because it with crack easily without the harder...as you can see from the left one....or just fiberglass that sucker...lol
