ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    93 LX Sedan

I figured I’d document my build here. Needed a 4dr to haul my baby boy were expecting this month so I ended up gettin a 93 LX sedan!

Here is when I picked it up...

And immediately picked up a set of these...

They’re installed now but I gotta fix a broken wheel stud that the previous person either overtorqued or crossthreaded. Updated pics shortly after!

Great start! Looks rust free; that's half the battle for a lot of us. Need some wheels to dress it up a little.

thanks man, as far as i can tell, it has some surface rust here and there but no cancer. It has a bit of a dent on the other side quarter panel otherwise its in great shape. Heres a picture of it lowered a bit.

I got some new wheels as well but now I have yet another wheel stud acting up. I can't even get the lug nut off to put these on!

Those will make a big difference, what size wheel and tire? Is the nut cross threaded, or just rusted on? Soak it several times with penetrating oil. You might try tightening it a little first to break it loose, then try removing it.

They’re 16x8 the tires are 205/45 but after it was all said and done, I wish I had gotten a bigger tire, I just wasn’t sure how it would with with a 20 offset. I was trying to avoid going lower on my suspension but I may just have to.

The nut I think is cross threaded and the stud splines stripped as it keeps turning but not coming off

Is that stud on the front or rear?

Rear, the one I recently replaced was the front. I Couldn’t believe how easy it was. Lucky there’s space behind that rotor once you take the caliper off.

Rear should be easier. Although if the serrated hole is stripped, you might want to find another hub. Might be worth trying a little steel putty on the base of the stud; I repaired a hole in the oil pan of my 1999 Ford E350 a year or so ago, still holding (I have a spare pan if need be, but the engine has to be lifted to replace it).

guess I never came back to post an update. Here it is with the wheels on. Next item on the to do list is convert the AC refrigerant over to r134. All the r13 leaked out and i discovered a giant hole on the low pressure side hose that leads into the cabin.
