ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Are you responding to this post, or just talking in general?

The H22 head will fit on the F22 block with some modifications... I wouldn't do it, but many have.

I was also thinking of doing this, what kind of modification would be neeeded? And why is it not worth it?Wouldnt you see a noticable gain in HP as well as torque?

Ok if you really want to know why not to do it, its simple.

You are reusing your f22a bottom end, thats the problem. You wont be able to rev like an h22 and you are still going to have 8.8 compression.

Why isnt it worth it? Because your f22 bottom end isnt built to rev to 7.3k like an original h is.

The F22 CAN rev that high... but I don't see the point, honestly.

The LS/VTEC frankenstein motor has proven to be a good idea... people assume that the same goes for other motors as well.

F22A head flows better than the H22A head.

stick with the f22 and go turbo. Alot of parts are interchangeable with dsm's. It will prob run you cheaper, if u get all the parts instead of the kit. F22 block is good for boost

the f is great boosted but it takes a lot of money to make it near stock h22 power. the f22 head flows better but theres still a significant gap between the two motors.

i beg to differ especially since for the cost of an h22 i had 300whp so to me that is a little bit better investment than spending 2grand and not even getting 200 at the wheels.

I agree with turbo90accord. But it really depends on YOUR power goals, and what you want the car to do. Spending anywhere from $2000-$3000 for an H22 and some other stuff for a swap. Or you could spend less if you sourced everything out, and turbo'd the F22x. But it all depends on how good your stock motor is now, if it's horrible then don't boost it unless your going for a full rebuild.

sorry i should have clarified. i meant na. of course you can make plenty of power with a boosted f22. 250whp with a stock f22 is easy.
