ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Usable parts from an '87 prelude si?

Hey all, not sure if this post belongs here. My apologies if not.

So my '87(2g) Prelude Si was totaled in a hit and run on my street while I was sleeping. It was rear ended and the notchback was completely bent. I unfortunately didn't have it insured at the time since I wasn't really driving it due to a water pump that I was in the process of fixing literally that day.

Anyways, I went and bought a Cb7 with the cash I had free and at the moment I still have both cars. I'm going to scrap the Prelude soon so I wanted to know what's worth taking off before I get rid of it.

I know these old ludes are very particular but there's still a lot of good parts on this car and I want to use whatever I can.

I know your pain. I lost my cb7 in much the same way!

You can use the steering wheel (especially if you have a 90-91 non-SE model), but not much else. A 4th gen Prelude would have lots of stuff to swap over, but a 3rd gen has very little in common with the CB, sadly.

Not much will bolt on but if the front seats are in good condition save them. Those are nice and with modification could be used.
......father in law has it back again. Time to shine

Thanks all, I'm going to try and take everything I can.
I love those seats, Ill grab them and hopefully the steering wheel although I have an aftermarket one that I'm gonna put in when I order a hub.

I have some questions, I'll make another thread for them specifically.
