I wouldn't say snap on is over rated, but it just isn't always necessary to have. My craftsman ratchets work fine for regular use, but the snap on is lighter and has more teeth, so it clicks more often in every turn. I'd still like my duralast ratchets more then some of the craftsman ratchets I own with the exception of the thin profile tear drop ratchets. That ratchet is awesome for regular use.
