Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    h22 check engine light due to EGR Valve right?

    that's what the guy said is the cause of the check engine light turning on when i drive..right?

    he said the f22's have a EGR Valve and the H22A don't

    really? or shitting me?

    CEL does not mean EGR in an instant.

    CEL means you need to pull the code and find out whats wrong.

    No EGR? Hell no. They have EGR's.

      i put a paperclip in the blue plug and put the key to on position

      and nothing on CEL flashes

      idk

        try to swap another ECU to see if it works.

          so if i swap my 93 accord ECU in it?

          will it run good ect any problems? i don't want to fuck up the ECU's

          im going to swap them tomorrow

          anything else ?

          i did the RESET tHE CEL

          doesn't work

          like unplug battery
          and take the fuse out
          and put it back it still comes one

          Anything i should CHECK like in the Engine Bay

            so can anyone confirm that switching ECUS with my 93 accord is not going to mess nothing up ?

            and how do i switch it ?
            just unplug and plug or is there a procedure that i have to do ?

              Must be one of those retarded mechanics...The F22A ECU will run it but I wouldnt drive it. You wont have vtec AND the mapping for the motor is not right. The only thing I would use it for is testing for start up and maybe driving short distances without ragging on it. You sure you jumping the pin correctly to find the code. If its a temp code it can be a number of thingis ranging from o2 sensor to whatever.

                Don't swap anything just yet.

                If it's not blinking, then the paper clip isn't making full contact.

                If you want, cut that connector off and just connect the wires. That ensures a solid connection.

                If you want, you can install a switch.

                  A switch is a pretty cool idea. I never thought of that


                  Use a metal paperclip. Not one covered in pink rubber.

                  If it doesn't flash, and stays off, then there is no code to pull. If it doesn't flash and stays on, the ECU may be bad (that's the sign of a bad ECU, though mine has done it and it's not bad... dunno what was wrong there!)

                    If the CEL is on while the connector is not jumped, then you jump it and it stays solid, that means you have a bad ecu.

                    If there is no cel while the connector is not jumped, then you jump it and it goes solid, there's nothing wrong with anything.

                    IF the ecu was bad, you would either be in limp mode or your car wouldn't run.

                      the CEL turns ON aftter like 5 or 10 minutes of driving but it won't turn on with the paperclip so idk

                        Then it very well could be the EGR. But you won't know until you check the CEL.

                        Go drive around, as soon as it comes on, jump it. Don't turn the car off, just pull over and check it.

                        If you don't want to cut the wires, then use some speaker wire or some other type of metal. paper clips have never worked for me.

                            BTW any pics of the EGR? and where is it and what's it purpose i haven't really studied that b4?

                            but yeah i used one of those paperclips with the colored condom on there but i peeled off both Sides but THAT should still work right? if not then im going to Find a ALL 100% metal one
