    Headlight help!

Needing some advice I tried my hand at the black housed headlights, which came out fine. But I also tried to do the yellow highs following the diy write up, found on this forum, purchasing the Tamyira paint said needed cause krylon doesn't sell the paint needed any more. Anyway my highs look weird and not shining/reflective anymore! What did I do wrong? Could this be fixed?

Do you have any pictures? It might help to see what you did.

Sounds to me like you bought the wrong paint...

Tamiya makes multiple kinds of paint. Matte, gloss, translucent, blah blah blah.

It sounds like you bought the wrong paint (gloss or matte) and didn't buy the translucent kind.

I think his was just like my first trial and error headlights. The Tamiya paint (rattle can) i had tried was a translucent, as opposed to the transparent... or the other way around. I really don't know the difference BTW the two words but they sound simile. When I sprayed it, it instantly coated it a pearly yellow. Looked cool but didn't have a yellow chromish finish. Just flat, bright, pearly yellow.

Translucent = lets light through, but like a frosted or fogged window.
Transparent = you can see through clearly
