Interior carpet

has anyone ever changed out their carpet and put in a none oem kind, I've seen shag carpets in cars. Thats not what I want though lol, I want put light carpet material in my car. If any can provide a link or know if carpet stores sells any please post up what you know.

A1auto.com forget trying to clean it up. i paid $150. the center is pre-molded, and the sides are wide enough for u to cut. i went to from beige to black.

If you want cheap and light, go to Home Depot and get some generic black carpet. $5 per square foot and it's decent looking when done too.

Like Tippey said, the DX carpet is indeed thinner and "lighter." I don't think you'll be shaving off much weight, though. The standard CB carpet isn't very heavy at all, even with all the insulation still attached. Without the insulation you'll be saving even more weight. Not that it's much to save to begin with.

You could always use no carpet and throw in a set of floor mats.

JC Whitney or ebay, just order the cheapest carpet kit they sell and you should be good. It will be cut to fit with a little trimming required. If you go the JC Whitney route I would imagine they show the weight of the carpet kit (for shipping purposes) and you can use this to your advantage

HAHA I would go with no carpet but I'm black listed by my PD where I live so if I get pulled over and they see no carpet instant car search and hood pop for and fat tickets:
