Lol, Our cars wouldn't be as much fun to work on if they weren't a pain in the ass.

So I got the last piece of the exhaust system today: Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator

Hopefully this will make the car have a nice quiet deep sound. I'm getting to the point where I don't want to be loud, except when I want to be. Read great things on this resonator.

Anyways, I'm picking up the manifold from Blake at 850FAB tomorrow and will hopefully have the engine put together this weekend. He already has the flex pipe and the vband fitting for the exhaust, all we needed now was the resonator.

Looks great! & I loved my exhaust after the resonator install. But now I can't help but think about having two installed. I've heard of folks doing this.

I have 2 installed and even with just a 2.25" exhaust, the second one made a huge difference in the sound.

CyborgGT is cool... so far.
A friend had a '90s F150 that was a bit loud; I have a 2.5" Ultra Quiet sitting around for my build that I just held up to his tailpipe and it made a noticeable difference in volume! Granted, it was new out of the box so the baffling material wasn't broken in, but it was still impressive. I just wish they offered longer versions. I've got that, and their normal bottle resonator, to experiment with sound. I heard the Ultra Quiet is tricky to fit in a CB exhaust tunnel, though. My system will be 2.5" up until just before the bends for the gas tank, where it steps up to 3", and I'm not looking for a loud exhaust either... that might be tricky all motor.

Rilas, do you have a sound clip of your setup? And did you have any problems fitting the UQs under the car?

I will be dropping the car off to Blake this week, Ill ask him when he is done how difficult was the UQ resonator to tuck in the tunnel.

Decided to put the OEM grill back on just to see how it looked and now I can't decide which grill I like better.

Or Carbon Fiber G-Square:

I will get the same angle for both grills, but this gives you a decent comparison. Thoughts?

Got another part in today, this should help when I decide to put E-85 in the car. The problem is there are no E-85 pumps here. I have to drive about 40 mins to the closet pump. But I would rather have the car prepared for it whenever I come across a pump;

Anyways this is a Flex Sensor from a Chevy Impala Part Number 13577429. If anyone goes this route.

Then finally got the motor mostly put together. Man I love how this engine bay looks! In order to clear the wastegate, I had to convert the puller fan to a push fan, however I have to buy a new mounting kit. I think if I run into overheating issues I will purchase a smaller pull fan.

So the next step is mount the radiator fan, put the cheap warm up oil in, drop the car off to 850FAB to finish up the exhaust and wastegate fabbed and welded up. Then its on to first start and tuning. We are getting to the end. Finally!
