    Oil leak please help

    Hi there everyone. my cb recently over headed a little bit due to a ripped water line,after changing the line and putting water back in,it started leaking oil from under the intake mani and above the oil filter.cant realy see where its coming from but its from that general area.it sounds like i need a valve adjustment too.can anyone please help

    Probably your oil pressure switch. Or your Valve cover.

      Check that it is not coming from behind the oil filter.

      Behind the oil filter is an oil cooler. There is an oil seal behind that which may have been rendered loose and no longer sealing due to your over heat experience.

      It is a common oil leak problem but easy enough to fix.

        oh ok my girls uncle said that it could be the little oil pressure thing so ill check that.

        JdmDriver is that where the filter screws onto or on the engine

          The oil cooler is what the oil filter screws on.

          The seal is between the oil cooler and engine block.

                I have an ex and mine doesnt I believe a1 engines do not

                Maybe 9293 has them or a4 or a6 engines.

                    Try take a pic. Valve cover and oil pan gasket maybe?

                      The fact that you say it happened after the car overheated might lead me to believe that it could be the headgasket
                      wat?
