I've already trimmed it down considerably with an angle grinder. Maybe keep going?

It sounds like it still rubs a little, and it feels really tight when I turn. The steering doesnt kick back easily like it used to. I have to help the wheel back after a turn.
I installed the Prelude adapter, but I didnt replace any spring. So that must be my problem right there. I'll look into that tomorrow and report back.

i did this a while back and loved it and yes if you use washers it will stop rubbing. mine also had 4 wires the purple ones are the horn and the others are to the cc
i used all the original parts on the colum just took the plug and connected it to the wires on the wheel
my wheel is a jdm series i love the orange japan letters on the cc and it says japan on the back of the cc box,,
excellent write up mad props... i used the older model on mine...

There is also an arrow that points up on the hub adapter...the two "nubs" should be on each side.
The only issue I've had is I cant get it EXACTLY centered...always a tick to the left or the right...not too bad.
