ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    New car :) - new problems :(

so heres the plot of the story.. i bought a 91 4 door 5 speed.. with 89k original miles! garage kept baby, woo!

Well, here in NC, the tropical storm is moving over us, and will be bringing rain until friday.... I went to get something out of the car today, and noticed there was about 3-4 inches of sitting water in the rear passenger seat foot area.... i notice that the front passenger side foot well is a little wet as well.. i took off the door sill, and the water wasnt coming from there.. where could it be coming from? what are some common leak points on the interior?

    please, any help is appreciated....

Bad seal around the windshield? I had a 3rd gen Accord, and it'd leak like crazy around the windshield, I'd get water in the floorboard all the time

I had problems with the doors when I had a water leak inside on my driver's side.

I had the windshield replaced 4x and it didn't solve my problem

I would wait until the car dries off, then put a tarp over certain parts of the car and hit it with a hose and check the interior afterwards. For example, just cover the windshield and see what happenes, then move to the front door, then move to the back, etc.

It also seems possible that it could be coming from your back window sill where the water sits over the trunk, it could theoretically flow from the trunk down. I don't know how you were parked. But leaky trunks are common, so you might want to check there.

            water on your floor

Do you have a moon roof ? If you do thats a common place for any car to have a leak problem. It's because they are suposed to have vent drains from the opening for the moon roof down the roof pilliars, front or rear depending on car, and they drain water to exit under the car. And when they get plugged up thats when the water starts to leak inside.
