Today i found out the dealer cut off the cutouts and replaced with some poor quality welding, the car also had both catalytic converters on one side replaced with 1 single low quality converter; i am analyzing situation and seems its cheaper to get long tubes with cheap bullet type converters than to spend $300 on one replacement converter and use the crappy piping on the car now. I did find a local guy selling used complete exhaust for $60 which would take care of butchered piping but not cat being welt angled.

This is where the cutouts used to be, idiots did that although the covers were in the trunk.

That hanging in the back is the replacement cat which hangs about an inch lower than driver side.

This is the single big cat vs the two small ones on the background which is the drivers side.

If I were you, I'd just snag that stock exhaust for $60 and then find a replacement set of pipes for the affected area from someone who's parting out their stock stuff.

Once you get it all back together, then you can take your time and upgrade however you want, rather than rushing to get it to some level of acceptability.

Conversely, if it's tampering with emissions stuff, I wonder if you could take it back to the dealer you bought it from and either return it or force them to fix it with OEM stuff.

That is a very good question, i WILL pester them since i have to go back in tomorrow. When i looked for cars i looked for something that would be good enough from factory to not have to modify since i have back issues already and therefore i looked at this power range and definitely would hate to go down this slope with starting to change stuff; on the other hand i did find no leaks while i was down there. Also it seems the previous owner removed the resonator leaving the exhaust dual all the way throught without an X or H pipe and used the same shitty quality welding the dealer did long story short the exhaust piping after the cat has been welded no less than 3 times with crappy quality every time. Dude it just ocurred to take the $60 exhaust and have the dealer replace the otherwise $257 part at Rockauto.

All that being said i would be happy with factory exhaust.

I have no idea the amount of wattage on the sound system in this car but its crazy that cars now days have this quality sound systems from factory, no wonder the aftermarket installers are dying out.

That and the tight integration with the rest of the car.

Finally got it insured, they said due to CS and DR im only paying $70 a month for the Camaro and $190 in total for 4 cars; 2 of which have 500 dollar deductibles. Keep an eye on your score guys, it pays off.

I'm guessing CS = Credist Score. What do you mean by DS? I've got full coverage on a '10 SS and I'm paying roughly $150 for full coverage. My credit is excellent btw.

Im paying $70 a month for full coverage with a 500 deductible because she said I have a fairly clean Driving Record and a good Credit Score, my buddy pays 117 for his 5.0 GT with a 1k deductible

So this is the car. Well the engine looks nice. But you bought his from a dealership? Like a Chevy dealership? (If so.. WTF kind of circus show are they running!)

I'm officially terrified of dealerships. I thought this BS only went on at used car dealerships.

I had a big F it moment and thus ordered a full exhaust consisting of 1 7/8 long tubes and a true dual 3 inch x pipe exhaust . Hope you are happy Sonik
