Spring West Coast CB Road Trip!

Confirm rear main is not leaking (flywheel inner surface was dry, clutch cover did not have streams on the inside surface but was greasy. I did not clean it last time I took it off.)

Reseal oil pan with new gasket and Hondabond at corners and arch (check)

Oil/Filter Change (done for racing on 2/28, but will have to do again)

Run and check for leaks (a drip is forming on the bottom of the trans, but none on the ground, could be rear main, grrr)

Hook up Sdash and run from ECU (check, Awesome)

Adjust damping (6 to 8 clicks softer)

Check all fluids and tire pressures

Clean inside and out

I was really hoping you, specifically you, would happen on this thread be able to come on this trip when I was formulating it in my head. Is your work schedule changing? Man, I really hoping you can ask for that weekend off, if at all possible. We could use someone with your long-trip experience on this one for sure.

I really appreciate it. Like I said, this would be perfect for CAM. I'm starting a new job in a couple of weeks and it specifically requires me to work weekends. I already have a few days that I am going to take off. One of which will be for CAM. It sucks because your planning really looks awsome. I would love to capture some gopro footage too.

Wow, it's on June 20th and they haven't opened registration yet! I hope for all your sakes it opens soon. If the car does well on this trip, I can feasibly join a CAM caravan.

Yes, I can put the head count on the first post, and it's the best place for it. I put the same opening page as the start of a SoCal thread, but there wasn't much response. I'm guessing that facebook may be beneficial for something like that.

Drugs

As soon as I realized that I had not posted about this yet, I nearly punched myself. I should have gotten to this a long time ago.

Drugs of abuse and I have a bad relationship, for lack of better words. What this means is that I am not comfortable around pot, excessive alcohol use, or any harder narcotics and other drugs of abuse.

If I see any non-prescription drugs, see/smell anyone using them, and/or get word that someone is under the influence while driving, I will turn around and go home as soon as possible. I'm not going to spoil everyone else's fun, but I'm not going to be around that stuff either. I love you guys, but I don't love drug abuse.

I hope this doesn't potentially spoil anyone else's time, but I will say that I am living proof that there is ample fun to be had without any drugs being involved. Just give me a chance.

Well, when I was thinking about how to write that, I figured my opinions would be outnumbered, so it would be best to just leave.

"C'mon man, you can't expect us all to be straightedge," or "dude, that's unreasonable, what do you expect," were responses I was expecting. It's good to see that I have support, because if we all feel that way, then we can unite like we would if someone decides to do a top speed run/burnout/roll race/etc.
